Easter in Utah

We had a great time in Utah during spring break. We stopped along the way at the outlets and Cove Fort. Camden and I took a quick tour at the fort while Blake slept in the car and Daddy had a driving break. Camden liked looking inside all the rooms. It reminded us of Nauvoo. We'll stop again on our next trip to Utah to take the full tour. Pioneers were so self sufficient it is amazing! It was FREEZING there. We traveled from spring to winter in a matter of hours! We surprised Grandma Larson-she thought we were in route to Santa Cruz while we waited for her in her driveway! Once we arrived in Smithfield, Camden and Dalton were inseparable. Blake was at their side the whole time too. They played spies and finished the game Star Wars on the Wii!!!

Will and I went snowboarding with Ryan and Danica (they are great skiers) on Saturday. Fun Fun! When we left, Blake was a little apprehensive about us leaving, and finally warmed up when Aunt Carrie got out her cleaning supplies and began cleaning. Blake is a great cleaner and was happy to use the feather duster. He had a great time after that. Carrie and Grandma took the kids to an Easter Egg Hunt at the grocery store. They got to go all around the departments of the store collecting eggs, winning Twinkies and cupcakes, and finally finding the Easter Bunny!!! They also got to see baby animals!

Easter morning we awoke to a tricky Easter Bunny!

He hid the baskets up so high we had to use a broom to get them down! There were eggs all over the house and after church there were more eggs all over the front yard!!

The funniest thing about our trip was when Will thought of a great plan to save money on a hotel for the trip home. We purchased a foam mattress at DI for $3.00 then we were going to borrow blankets and sheets to mail back to Utah and we were going to sleep in our van!!!! Will got the mattress set in the back, and we decided it would be a little too crowded for all four of us. Oh well, we'll have to brave it next time. We could go cross country this way!! (I guess if it were just the two of us).
WOW am I new at this or what??????? This post has taken a LONG time to post! I just spoke to my sister and learned the secret to a ton of pictures would be to do a SLIDE SHOW!!! OOPS!!! Next time we will have a SLIDE SHOW!!!! I am learning slowly but surely!!!!

Here We Are

Well, we did it! We jumped into the blogger world....we'll see how this goes. My sisters have finally convinced me to join in on the fun and here we are!!!

Blake is 2 and turning 3 in July. He is such a fun boy. He has the best smile with his adorable dimples. He loves to follow his big brother around everywhere and thus has learned the ins and outs of Star Wars and can make really cool gun sound effects. He even says he wants to be a "stoe-tooper" when he grows up. (Storm Trooper!!) He is constantly changing costumes all day long. Most often he is a builder, a storm trooper, Dash from the Incredibles, or a Backyardigan Knight. Blake also loves sports. He loves to play and wear sports....he has to wear football, hockey, or baseball shirts including the equipment (hockey skates, puck and a stick, baseball shoes, ball and glove), all depending on the sport of the day. Often while I'm getting ready in the morning he'll want to watch something on T.V. I'll ask if he wants Handy Manny, Micky Mouse Clubhouse, the Backyardigans...he has replied like this, "I watch hockey Mommy?" or, "I watch football?" So, I find hockey or football (any sport) and he is content. He is signed up for "Itty Bitty Sports" in April. He will play soccer, baseball, and basketball, once a week for four weeks. He is SO EXCITED!!!!
Camden is 6 and is in the first grade. He has the happiest laugh-his teachers have always commented on how great it is. He thoroughly enjoys playing with his friends at school. His latest joy is digging dirt homes for lizards. There is a secret dirt area at school he has been working on for a while now. I just helped at his classroom and at recess I saw the masterpiece. There were rocks, bark chips, and his old snack trash ready for that lizard!!! Baseball season is here!! Camden is our baseball player. He is playing his second year of T-Ball. This year he plays for the Devil Rays (his favorite team is still the Texas Rangers though...It's all about the cool name). It doesn't matter what position he plays...once the ball is hit there, Camden is there too! Camden is still a Star Wars and Lego fanatic. He is constantly building space ships and other cool creations. Santa brought us Legoland tickets this year and Camden was in heaven. He learned how to swim last year in Grandma & Grandpa's pool. He was rewarded with a trip to the ice cream store with Grandma once he swam across the pool. Camden's favorite thing to do though is play with all of his cousins in Bakersfield, Las Vegas, Santa Cruz, or Utah. He is always full of energy during the day, going 100 mph, and is exhausted by 7 PM at night...life as a 6 year old.
